Media Units
Bespoke fitted media and TV units create a wonderfully impressive focal point in a room. With all your audio-visual equipment integrated into a stylish, well-organised viewing platform, and cables and other distractions discreetly concealed.
Media units can be either modern, contemporary, minimalist, traditional, Edwardian, Victorian, Regency or Georgian in style.
Modern, contemporary and minimalist units tend to be have flush doors with a shadow gap and concealed hinges so creating clean straight lines.
Traditional Edwardian, Victorian, Regency or Georgian TV Units have either shaker style, or panelled doors using a profile moulding to match the existing moulding of the room. Either butt hinges or concealed soft-close hinges are used.
Typically we prefer to fabricate the units in our workshop and then assemble them on site.
Our Media Units are made using moisture resistant MDF. These are then painted by us or the client, but we can use any timber material or wood, including soft or hard wood, melamine faced chipboard or MDF, veneered or stained MDF or veneered plywood. See Finishes.
Discreet concealed lighting on either a movement sensor or a switch, and power sockets further enhance the ambiance of the unit.
